How to became a participant of the UN Global Compact / Global Compact Network Portugal

The United Nations Global Compact (UN Global Compact) welcomes participation from business and non-business organizations committed to advancing our Ten Principles and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Letter of Commitment

To participate in the UN Global Compact, an organization must prepare:

  • a Letter of Commitment addressed to the UN Secretary-General and signed by the highest level executive (or equivalent);
  • a Letter of Commitment addressed to the Chair of the Board of the Global Compact Network Portugal and signed by the highest level executive (or equivalent).

These letters are a commitment to implement the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact, take action in support of the SDGs, and report on their progress annually.

Online Application Form

Complete the Online Application Form and upload a digital copy of the Letter of Commitment signed by the highest level executive.

Engagement

The engagement with the UN Global Compact / Global Compact Network Portugal is important for the participation in the events and programs promoted and developed, for sharing experiences and practices with the other members of the Network, for demonstrating leadership on issues of Ethics, Social Responsibility and Sustainability.

All participants of the Global Compact Network Portugal integrate the SDG Alliance Portugal, without any additional cost.

Annual Mandatory Contribution

Make an annual financial commitment to support the work of the UN Global Compact / Global Compact Network Portugal. This will enable us to continue providing ongoing support to thousands of participants like you who have committed to transforming our world.
The Global Compact Network Portugal (GCNP) is the Portuguese network of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), which brings together participants of the initiative based or operating in Portugal.
